

Within
the Bellydance, which is actually called Oriental Dance, one not
only moves the belly and hips, but the whole body is dancing.
The feet take you through the room, the arms wriggle through space,
the chest is revolving around, the hip is vibrating and even the
head gently moves -as if without any help- from right to left
and back.
The dance helps to get a better body feeling and increases selfconfidence
consequently. Through the movements all muscles are invigorated
without callosity, and especially the abdominal muscles are getting
uncramped and supplied with blood.
Focused stretching and invigorating improve the posture.
Age, stature and other external issues are not relevant for
the Oriental Dance. The only condition is to be a woman and to
enjoy the pleasure and fun of dancing.
The lessons start with a gentle warm up of the body, which change
fluently into dancing techniques.
In time we will work on different elements and combinations which
support the ability to dance freely 'from the belly' and can be
combined to a choreography as well.
The last minutes of the lessons belong to relaxing and stretching
the muscles we have used.
